Our fairness rules

  1. Everything that affects combat can be earned. Any troop, hero, building or upgrade that gems can buy is also unlocked through normal play.
  2. Matchmaking by strength, not just trophies. A player who rushes upgrades with gems meets equally strong bases, not beginners.
  3. One boost, and never in competition. There are no potions. The Season Pass speed bonus is the only boost, and it switches off in Feuds and the Crown League.
  4. Speed-ups get relatively cheaper the longer the wait, but playing is always the best value.
  5. No paid randomness. No loot boxes, chests or other random paid items.
  6. No pressure tactics. No countdown offers that reappear after you close them, no offers straight after a lost battle, and every price shown in your local currency.
  7. Spending protection. Players aged 13 to 17 have a US$50 monthly spending cap, and everyone can see their purchase history in the game.

Matchmaking

When you search for a raid, we look for an opponent with similar trophies and a similar power score. Power measures what your base and army can actually do:

Power = Keep level × 100 + sum of defense levels × 3 + sum of troop levels × 4 + hero level × 5

If nobody close enough is available, the search widens the trophy range first and the power range second. Feuds match Houses by the combined power of the members taking part.

  • Trophies are your matchmaking rating. Raids move them up or down depending on the marks you earn and how your rating compares with your opponent's.
  • Renown is the season ranking used for leaderboards and league rewards. You earn it only by raiding real players: never from computer-controlled opponents, the campaign or sparring. Players appear on leaderboards from 1,000 trophies.

Computer-controlled opponents

Early in your journey, and whenever no other player is available, some of the bases you attack and some of the raids on your base are computer-controlled. They play by the same rules as everyone else, so they are good practice, and they keep the game lively while you learn. They become rarer as your trophies rise:

Largest share of computer-controlled opponents, by trophies
Your trophiesComputer-controlled opponents (at most)
0 to 19980%
200 to 59940%
600 to 99910%, and only if no player is found within 5 seconds
1,000 and aboveNone

We switch computer-controlled opponents off altogether once enough players are online in your region.

What computer-controlled opponents never do

  • They never earn Renown and never appear on leaderboards.
  • They never join Houses and never post in chat.
  • They raid your base only during your first 3 days, at most 2 times a day, with a weaker army, so you can watch your defenses work in the replay.
  • They never take more than 5% of your storage.
  • They never raid you in the 30 minutes before a store offer appears.

Raids against computer-controlled bases still move your trophies and pay loot, but only raids against real players earn Renown.

Boosts

The premium Season Pass makes building and training 10% faster for its season. That is the only boost in the game. It is switched off in Feuds and the Crown League, where nobody can use a boost of any kind. There are no potions, no paid damage bonuses and no paid troop strength.

Store and pricing

  • Every store item shows exactly what you get and its price in your local currency before you buy.
  • All purchases go through Google Play. Our servers confirm each one before the item is granted.
  • The Starter Pack is offered once, and only after the tutorial.
  • Gold and mana top-ups bought with gems are capped per day, so nobody can buy straight through progression.
  • Hero skins, building skins and sceneries are cosmetic and never change stats.

Finishing a timer with gems costs more for longer waits, but each extra hour costs less than the one before:

Odds and randomness

Raidcrown has no random paid items. You can't pay for a chest, a spin or a mystery reward. If we ever add one, we will show its odds here and in the game before you buy, with a counter that guarantees the top reward within a fixed number of opens.

The only random reward is from clearing obstacles (trees, rocks and shrubs) on your island. Clearing costs gold, you can't pay gems to spawn or reroll them, and every result in the range is equally likely:

Pine100 gold0 to 614.3%
Oak250 gold0 to 614.3%
Boulder500 gold0 to 614.3%

How we stop cheating

  • Our servers are the only source of truth for resources, gems, upgrades and results. Changing your phone's clock does nothing.
  • Every raid is re-simulated on our servers from your inputs. If the result your device reports doesn't match, the server's result counts and the account gets a strike.
  • Device integrity checks are a warning sign, never an automatic ban.
  • Automated checks only flag accounts. A person reviews every case before a ban, and every ban can be appealed. See Support.
