Castle Clash: World Ruler from IGG has been a medieval-fantasy base-builder on mobile since 2013, and it is best known for collecting and upgrading a roster of heroes. Raidcrown, coming soon to Android, shares the castles and the knights but puts a different idea at the centre of every raid.
The short version
| Castle Clash: World Ruler | Raidcrown | |
|---|---|---|
| Heart of the game | Collecting and upgrading many heroes | Raiding to steal a Crown and escape with it |
| Heroes | A large collectible roster | One hero, the Marshal, fully earnable by playing |
| Raid scoring | Destroying the enemy base | Three marks: Breach, Seize, Escape |
| Platforms | Android and iOS | Android at launch |
One hero, many troops
Raidcrown has a single hero, the Marshal, and puts the variety in your army instead: Shieldbearers, Crossbowmen, Ram Crews, Cutpurses, Gryphon Riders and Drummers each have a clear job. A raid is about combining them well and choosing where they land, not about which rare hero you own.
A raid with a getaway
Every Raidcrown base hides a Crown in a Crown Vault that the defender can put anywhere, and later a False Vault joins it. You earn the Breach mark at 50% destruction, Seize by destroying the real vault, and Escape by carrying the Crown back to your boats. Escaping pays a 50% ransom on top of your loot. The Crown Heist guide has the full rules.
Fair by design
We publish the numbers behind matchmaking, boosts and the store on our fair-play page. In short: no loot boxes or other random paid items, no ads, everything that affects battles can be earned by playing, and the only boost (the Season Pass speed bonus) switches off in Feuds and the Crown League.
Which one should you play?
If you enjoy building up a big collection of heroes, Castle Clash has more than a decade of them. If you want raids that are won by planning a heist, with one hero and an army where every troop has a job, Raidcrown is coming soon to Android. Join the newsletter to hear the day it launches.
